State Representative Steve Johnson was born and raised in Allegan County. After graduating from South Christian High School he enlisted in the United States Air Force. As a Staff Sergeant, he was responsible for leading a team of airmen to perform maintenance on our nation's nuclear ICMB weapon systems. After being honorably discharged, Steve moved back to Michigan to finish his education and graduated from Liberty University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 2016, Steve was elected as State Representative. He has constantly supported the cause of liberty and small government. Steve is widely considered the most conservative State Representative.
Steve Johnson is a member of Wayland Christian Reformed Church and his Christian beliefs shape his worldview. Every vote that he takes in Lansing reflects these values. He is passionate about defending the rights of the unborn and for defending our religious liberty.
